This story began when the 12-years-old smart me (Mathilde) told my parents: If they wanted to create a company, they had to do it right now––otherwise, they were never going to do it.

At that moment I didn’t think that they would take my advice, but I am really glad they did!

     BERGUE was founded in 2007 and we came a long way since then. In the beginning, the whole family was helping,

but the one who mainly did all of the work was my Mom: Anne Bergue. She is the founder and one of the creative brains behind BERGUE. Starting in our apartment- kitchen in Lisbon it was a time full of magic, experimentation, questions, and chaos but most importantly success. And it paid off! A year after my Mom started the Business we moved out of our kitchen and into Lx Factory (Lisbon). Lx Factory provided us with the necessary tools and space to create our Workshop.
